1. Don’t think I would like to be going to dinner with Max this evening!

2. Good effort by Lawson - pleased for you Shawn :-)

3. Glad that Lance is okay, but surely Dad will have to replace him sooner
rather than later.

After some of the messages in previous races from Verstappen when he
feels he's been blocked, it felt like karma that he ended up being
investigated for blocking in qually today.

I haven't checked: did Max get any penalties for the three
investigations that I saw listed on the FIA site shortly after qually ended?

I have to agree about Lance Stroll. I'm sure his father is conflicted:
one side is his son he has nurtured for many years, and on the other
side is the points state -- or lack of points -- of the team he now
owns. But Lance has had more than ample opportunity to prove he belongs
in F1 and it seems to me that he hasn't shown that he does.

Going to be an interesting race tomorrow (I hope!)

Yeah nah. It seems that the TD around movable aero has really hurt RBR.

> 2. Good effort by Lawson - pleased for you Shawn :-)

Thanks! I've always rated Tsunoda since seeing him race in the junior formulae but now, seeing Liam
working hard to match Tsunoda's pace shows how good he really is.

That said Tsunoda's has had a while to get used to F1 and the car. The last time they raced as team
mates Liam finished the championship in second and Yuki finished in fourth. Then in the 2019 F3
championship Yuki was 9th and Liam 11th (but in different teams) so not that big a gap between them
results-wise.

Agreed. Stroll has to be the most expensive pay driver in the history of F1 (with his dad even
having to buy into a production car company to ensure his seat). However it seems that Lance is
just not top-tier material. He's had enough time now to rise to the challenge if he was capable of
it. Alonso's really showed just how poorly Lance has been performing...

No, that's unfair. Lance has been driving out of his skin. It just seems that he doesn't quite have
the ability to live up to daddy's demands.

Cheers,

Shaun.

Two reprimands for Max and a €5000 fine for RB.

That circuit? No way.

However, SC + VSC and strategies that weren't prepared for that proved
to supply some real interest in the last 12 laps.

Merc should have enforced team orders. If HAM hadn't been in RUS's
mirrors, there's a chance it could have been 1 & 2 rather than 3 & 4.

Hmmm, not sure about that. Personally, I think they should have pitted
Hamilton but left Russell out.
