No surprises, but there's still a lot hidden. When you imagine that Yaz couldn't do worse than he did last year, he's worse thru spring training. His last game, 0-5 with 3 strikeouts.

Well I think the Mets designated Darren Ruf for assignment, losing the
25th roster spot.

So he may just be released or sent to the minors.

He's 36 and never hit over .200 last season after the trade nor in
spring training this year.

No HRs either.

So watch Zaidi pick him up.

After three games, Yaz is hitting okay, but as a team, they are really lacking. I thought the Stripling was a bad signing and his first game was horrible. I don't think Ruf is worth the risk to Zaidi. Zaidi is skating on thin ice this year.
