It really sucks because he was a good player, but health obviously comes first. Hope he is doing OK.

Probably going to need to draft a center on day 2, given the Chargers' cap situation they won't be able to splurge on free agents. But the line had a major dropoff after Linsley's heart condition flared up.

An update on his health, from Popper:

Linsley did not want to get into the specific details of his condition,
but he did provide a general timeline. In May, he had an ablation
procedure to deal with a heart arrhythmia that runs in his family. He
met with doctors in the summer, and they cleared him to return to
football. However, once he started playing, Linsley said he did not feel
like himself. He was dealing with “different symptoms.” That led him to
undergo another scan, and it was then that doctors found the current issue.

“Kind of weighed all the risks,” Linsley said. “And then in the coming
weeks came to the decision where it was like, OK, we could roll the dice
here, but, especially long-term-wise, I don’t think that’s fair to my
kids or to my family.”

Linsley has lost quite a bit of weight since he stopped playing in
September. He said that was part of the initial “plan” to deal with the
diagnosis.

“Being 300 pounds probably isn’t healthy in general,” Linsley said.
“That didn’t help the cause.”

Linsley said his next decision will come six months from the diagnosis.
“So it would put me around March,” he said.
