to 2-year $23 million extension

Comment: I wanted to include the exact
salary cap impact of that extension, but
for some reason, the overthecap website
has not yet been updated, so I'll have to
return to this article for an update after
his extension is updated at overthecap.

His 'old' contract had the 3rd-highest cap
impact on the Texans in 2023: $9,852,941.
His 2022 PFR AV = 7.

Maliek's 4-year rookie deal with Dallas
ended when he signed with the Raiders
March 17 2020 for a 2020 cap impact of
$6,250,000, almost 3 times his final year
Cowboys cap impact of $2,245,288.
