First Boston now the newest team in the league Seattle knocks off the defending champs Colorado out west! Wow just get by Jersey man, things are falling into place. The odds to win the Cup just dropped big time after tonight, hard to even call a favorite or a big underdog...Its up for grabs....because now that some load seeds knocked off the big boys they must also be takin seriously...

I agree it is wide open. I now keep hearing that with Boston's loss, the last 10 winners of the President's Cup as the best team during the season have not only not won the Stanley Cup, but not even reached the finals. Still this Boston team was so good, that that result last night was shocking, especially since they were up 3-1 in games and even in game 7 were still ahead with about 1 minute left.

I guess Colorado didnt have best record but to me they were the favorites and did win it all, they were destroying teams. But it is true that NHL prolly has the most lower seed upsets of any sport in playoffs, prolly because it is the sport with the least home advantage. But it happens in other sports too, look like what is going on in Hoops right now, and the National League in MLB last year, the old cliche get hot at the right time....even then no team looked hotter than the Rangers to start the playoffs then all the sudden they lost 3 in a row!
