Pugh was a HIGHER rated olineman by PFF than Solder in that year they signed Solder to a big contract and let Pugh walk. But Solder played LT tho so he got the bag. Now if Thomas comes back and schmidt and Neal get better, which they have to anyway, The Giants may have a pro oline, probably to late but at least this could give them a chance to win some games and not look horrible.

And i remember at the time i was like, how does this improve the oline? On paper its a wash at best...u have to keep Pugh AND add, not let him walk and add. As it turned out Solder never lived up to his contract and i think Pugh kept having injury problems not sure how he played when healthy tho......prolly good. Solder sucked. Pugh played better emergency LT last night then Solder played while here. And in fact he had the highest LT rating this year of any Giant!!!!! a 33 year old guard who hadnt played in a year since knee surgury!
