It was the left that demonized the phrase "Make America Great Again'". Bill
Clinton claimed it was a racist dog whistle harkening back to the days of the
Jim Crow South, apparently forgetting (or not) that there are at least two
examples of videos of him using the exact phrase. Both Republicans and
Democrats had used the phrase as a political slogan for decades but it was
only when Donald Trump adopted it that the left attempted to make it an evil
expression. The left doesn't want America to be great. Instead it wants to tear
down the things that made America great in the first place. The left despises
individual liberty. Economic liberty. Religious liberty. Freedom of expression.
The right to keep and bear arms. All of these freedoms and more which are
protected by the Bill of Rights are under attack. The left has no gone so far
as to think they can simply declare the leader of their opposition an
insurrectionist without any due process and thus make him ineligible to hold
public office. They use the weight of the DOJ and state prosecutors in blue
states to persecute that leader in the hope of destroying him politically. If
they are allowed to succeed, America will never be great again which is
exactly the outcome the left seeks.
