As soon as I took out the 18" ratchet handle the jammed ISO bottom bracket came right off. Both sides were locked in place from gunk of some sort but they came right in. Then I installed a Shimano screw-on BB and pushed an FSA carbon compact crank on and attached the off-side and locked it in place.

I then installed the handlebars with a Shimano stem and 3T handlebars with a 32 mm center. These bars are light though they don't have cable channels.

The wife needs to see her own doctor today so I will have to work on the remainder tomorrow or Wednesday

A vintage Shimano AX stem?

https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-81z82onll7/images/stencil/1280x1280/products/3379/3795/P1100008__66899.1532824053.jpg?c=2

IIRC the only stem Shimano made after the AX was a
short-lived model with an integrated cycle computer around
1985 or so.

https://i0.wp.com/fillabicycles.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Shimano-CELC-SH-CE10-90mm-254mm-quill-ohjainkannatin-0005.jpg?fit=2560%2C1920&ssl=1

Both were only made in 22.2mm quill format.

I'd be done with the Specialized now but I am missing some small parts such as the seat post clamp and the under the bottom bracket cable guide. I had a front derailleur but the Specialized uses a clamp-on so I had to order one.

I have two of these around and both of them are the incorrect size. It is irritating to have to have multiple sizes of all of these parts. The Shimano clamp-on FD-7800 also is built a little lighter and you don't have to worry about slight size differences causing a dent in the tubing.

Did another 27 mile ride today and 1,490 feet of climbing, including that stinking 13% section with cars racing by on a side road. Had a slow leak all of the way home. Made it though. Now I have to pull the tire and tube off again. Probably another one of those steel belt wires that Liebermann tells us don't exist. It is especially irksome because of the new Gatorskins.

I'm going to try some Vittoria Zaffiros which supposedly are supposed to be very flat resistant also. Specialized makes those Armor tires but they have a funny fit on the rims. There was hardly any sidewall the last time I tried them.

Well I have to fix a flat on the BMC for today's ride. What a pain in the ass to have 9 bikes in the garage and none ready to ride. except for the Ridley which is all cleaned and up for sale so I can't use it. The Basso is useable but I'm not taking it out to get mud all over it and the Specialized is waiting small parts.

"I'm going to try some Vittoria Zaffiros which supposedly are supposed to be very flat resistant also."

I'll bet that, like me, you will never use another type of tire after trying the Zaffiros. Plus they are cheap. I think the ones with the red sidewalls (maybe all Zaffiros are red now; not sure) look really cool: that old-fashioned look. Also, they make you more visible to drivers.

BikeTiresDirect.com is taking their own sweet time to send the older style black Zafiro.

I hope they don't do that with the just ordered Gatorskins.
