With all due respect, I don't think the American discrimination against
Italians, Poles, Jews etc. comes close to what Blacks have endured.

Black Americans endured about 250 years of legal slavery, about 100
years of severe legal discrimination via Jim Crow laws, and less than 60
years of supposed equality - although even that has been tainted with
heavy discrimination.

As just one example, Italian-American GIs returning from World War II
were able to get lots of VA assistance that was practically denied to
Black GIs.

Before the blacks, the Irish were sold on the auction blocks as slaves. It was simply easier to tell a black from a white and it was YOUR Democrat Party that denied veterans benefits to black soldiers and airmen. There wasn't a SINGLE white soldier that complained about black reinforcements. I can tell you that there wasn't ANY Army Air Force bomber crews that complained at all about the Red Tails - black P51 fighter escorts over Germany. Returning to a Democrat run US was the reason that blacks returnd to descrimination. And the Warren Commission wrote and entire report of lies about the assassination. Lyndon Johnson made EVERY attempt to trash can the Civil Rights Law of 1964 but thousands of people overrode him. So then he and the Democrats took full credit for civil rights ("I'll have them niggers voting Democrat for 200 years") when he was forced to sign the final civil rights bill.

What utter bull shit. True that Truman integrated the military and
federal services but they remained integrated. I enlisted in 1952 and
retired 1972 and there was no question the A.F. was integrated during
that period.
