Seems to be a mechanism to attempt to secure funding for this sort of
treatment. Worthy enough.

ENT are surgeons, and surgeons want to cut, less dramatic interventions that
are more widely needed tend to be neglected by them. Speech and language
therapists are a bit more holistic, but are under-represented on this. I’m
surprised there are not more presentations listed that focus on treating
disease.
