I recently picked up an 88 f250 w/c6 tranny. Its shifting too early like 5-7 and 18-20. I changed out the modulator and made adjustments but no change.. It did not have an adjustment pin when I pulled the old one out. I've since learned after searching forever that some c6 have the pin and some dont. But no one seems to say why. So my first question is is there a way to tell if mine should have one? By looking at the modulator i pulled it looked quite new. Maybe whoever changed it lost the pin or didnt know there was one there. Where should I go next? Thanks for any help.
