A thruster based on "non standard physics" has been launched
on a Space-X rocket to test whether it will actually work in 0g.
The company developing the device say they have independently
tested it in vacuum chambers on earth and it produces a small
but measureable thrust. Critics say the measurements are just noise.
The thruster is based on the idea that very tiny changes in intertia
are quantized and can not be 0 -- similar to the idea that
the lowest energy of an electron in an atom can not be 0 (and collapse
into the nucleus).
