I’ve been using the interfact that gives me the ability to mark them as spam. I would there’s some sort of automated moderator bot that might take action if enough of us mark them as spam?

Unfortunately, the bot seems to be spewing out one day's worth of spam
and then changing its nym for the next day's. Not even a killfile will help.

I’ve been seeing some on the iphone newgroup but not nearly as bad as here.

The ROI for spam is high since copies of these things are free. Literally one click in a thousand - likely far less than even that - turns a profit for them; last I heard, that’s true even if that click is accidental.
