At least, he is if you can believe a post to Wieber's Facebook page from his
daughter-in-law:

As Many of you know my Father in law Mark Wieber passed away suddenly on the
25th [presumably of May]. Mark had the biggest heart I have ever seen with
Dogs. He did animal rescue to save animals from being put to sleep.
Unfortunately he left his wife Mary Murphy Wieber with 20+ dogs to home. If
anyone can find a spot in there [sic] hearts and homes to either adopt or
foster please contact either myself or his wife. Thank you so much in advance
for any help you can give us and God bless.

The post to Wieber's page is from June 7; scroll to find it. The post cited
above is from Tavonnie Ray Wieber, who presumably was the wife (at least for a
while) of Wieber's drug-addled son Richard Clayton Wieber.

There are several other posts on Wieber's page, both before and after
Tavonnie's, indicating he is indeed dead. I don't think Facebook friends post
fake condolence messages to a FB friend's page.

Wieber turned age 69 last November. I can't say I'm surprised he didn't make it
to age 70 — he lived a hard and dirty life. The worst of it is, he didn't live
to see The Great Cull (haw haw haw!)

I remember Gunner posted that he was on a trip to another state to
collect his father's belongings, including guns. I can't remember he
said his father was very sick, or had passed away. After he returned
from that trip, he tried to flog some hardware on
"rec.crafts.metalworking" which was actually his "home group". A few
regular posters in that Group called him out for taking their money and
not delivering the goods. He then stopped posting on Google Groups ever
since.
