They're a serious bunch, the Plymouth Brethren. At a business meeting
I attended, a Plymouth Brother was also there. After the meeting, all
present were invited to lunch.

"Oh no" said the PB "I won't break bread with unbelievers."

OTOH a cow-orker of mine was a Christadelphian; all his leisure time
was taken up with Bible Study, Worship and Good Works. He was
definitely not too proud to go out for a jolly good nosh-up though,
with a pint or two TAAAW.

Gordon is equipped with 5G, WiFi and Bluetooth. He considered
installing Ethernet or USB but he says he didn't want to be tied down
with cords and anyway, he didn't fancy the surgery.

AIUI (i.e. not very well) it is a condition of JW's membership that they
talk about Jesus to a certain number of strangers a week, actual conversion
being a very unlkely and largley irrelevant bonus. I suspect that they just
uncritically accept this and find that the easiest way to get that number
is by knocking on doors. The chance of coverting someone on the door step
must be very close to zero, but that doesn't matter provided they aquire
their quota of trying, by whatever means.

I have to assume that 144,000 is the full whack for the Whole of Time,
and not just the current batch.

Mined ewe, the PB only got going in the early 19th century - so anyone
from before that time (and anyone who didn't hang about in Plymouth) was
pretty much uggbered from the start.

JWs didn't get started until the 1870s, so that's even worserer.
