time. Accomodation has been found, from Monday of practice week, until
the Sunday morning, 6 nights.
We can't do 2 weeks, and accomodation looks to be difficult to get for
race week, so I'm happy with practice week.
What do you reckon?

just for TT practice week on the back of the 2C/375 with camping gear.

It will be surprisingly free of crowds and twatish riding for the first
few days then super manic by Mad Sunday.

I much prefer the Classic these days, though the compressed schedule has
taken the edge off it a bit.

Really ought to get over again. I could even book the MoHo and trailer
on a ferry for 2025 which will be the 59th anniversary of the founding
of the MRC. I was over for the first ever meeting and the 40th
anniversary. I wonder when bookings open.

Probably more realistic than riding it up to Liverpool and back, the
way my joints are going.

Oh, an Aussie. I keep bumping in to Antipodeans in all finds of places
including a camp site in Zummerzet and a Burger King in Stirling.

I suspect that If I was living that climate my joints would be more
amenable to movement.

Yes, got a cheap fare outgoing, expensive on the return.
Accomodation is on North Quay, Douglas, so pretty central, got it from
Monday night until Sunday morning.
A friend has told us there is a private boat going from near Drummore,
Galloway, and return, but, it is dependent on weather and other factors,
he lives there, even he has booked via Liverpool, as he reckons the
private boat isnt reliable enough.

Practice week is good fun, but race week is what it's all about. The
change to the schedule for 2023 was designed to get people to come for
one race weekend or the other, without thinking they needed to be here
for the full week.

It's not new, they've been using that phrase (ironically) for quite
some time. I have to agree it's a bit cringeworthy. But I've been asked
many times while wearing my Aerostich suit(s) if I'm a firefighter
or some other nonsensical thing. Lots of times I just say no, I rode
here on my snowmobile.

I do. I tried to reply earlier but my tin newsreader crashed.

I'm on my third Aerostich one-piece suit. The first one lasted about
18 years, I've still got it as a backup. The 2nd one was involuntarily
donated to some thieving toe rag scrote in a car park in Pisa.

I can confirm from experience that they do a good job of saving your
skin in an off, and have lots of vents and well placed zippers/pockets
for utility.

Not a cheap option but given the durability (and repairability,
their factory is just 3 hours north of me) I think it's a good value.

Thanks. I like the idea of a rugged oversuit like these, but they
don't seem easy to buy in the UK. Klim made a rip-of^H^H^H^H^H^H similar
suit for a while, but this seems to be discontinued now.

Maybe next time I'm in the USA....
