It is certainly rare for the Archer name not to appear in the cast list
at all. The last cast list that I can find that has this feature is the
week ending 26th May last year, though that does include Shula who was
born Archer, as well as Lily, Lilian & Alice who have Archer ancestors.
This week's cast has no Archer blood at all.

Knowing that Rob has a shocking request to make, I am even more
surprised that there are no Archers to receive the request. It could be
that he makes the request to brother Miles, without coming anywhere near
Ambridge, but it probably is more likely that it involves Alan, or some
other Ambridge resident, and I don't think a phone call to Alan would
break the restrictions that have been imposed on him.

Probably not. She's just taken a job as a locum at the local GP
surgery, allowing Ambridge residents to get non-emergency appointments
within a couple of day, rather than the several weeks enjoyed in other
parts of the country.

We can get same day appts with a GP here. Had one only last week for
eardrum perforated in Majorca.
