Never met him IRL, assumed he was much older. So sad when people top
themselves when all around them had no idea.

He once sent a post with a link to a "fart button" which I unwittingly
clicked. It linked to a Veronica Moser (or equivalent) video which I can
never unsee.

Bugger. Thanks for letting us know. Pat and I met him and a few other
UKRMers (including TOG and Andy Wegg) for the first time at a pub near
the Thames, on our way to Dover, many years ago. Doc actually
christened it an Irvinefest, which it didn't deserve compared to, say,
the Ivanfests. He was a computer buff, and helped me out a couple of
times over the next few years. A character. RIP.

interacting with this group about 30 years ago.

Probably been about 20 years since I fired up a newsnet reader to
