Thank you.

I'll try that soon and get back to you.

Those *Contents/* files and folders may, of course, no longer exist
now that I've binned the street urchins and rebooted.

Oh. Oh, well, such is Life.

I guess this is one with the "My new MBP doesn't have a gaming port"
whinges. :)

I could re-download the urchins from the Store but I don't need any
of them so I don't think I'll ever bother.

Thank you for helping and have a truly marvelous New Year.

J.

Not cured.

The request for adoption is still there in the "Apps Store" window
when I click on my user-name at the bottom left.

I have deleted the offending programs, signed out of the Store,
killed the Store's window using the menu bar, restarted the system,
re-started the Store, signed in to the Store. They still whine about
being lonely, little urchins, even after several days of waiting for
something in the Apple "cloud" to update itself.

So, I am, as one does, taking the long-term, mature view of the whole
situation, muttering "fuck it" and just never opening the user-name
clicky again.

It's not even dignifiable with being called a "work-around" but at
least the stupid thing won't bug me any more.

Much. :)

Happy New Year,

J.
