This post has prompted me to turn off sleep mode.

Long overdue but I upgraded the SSD to a 2x bigger one this weekend. It
only took most of both days to image the old one and restore to the new.
A mild panic when it wouldn't boot as it didn't have the correct nvme
driver. Somehow (a mystery how) after about 15 boot attempts, Win 11
fixed itself and installed the needed driver.

I've turned sleep back on the laptop and so far it's behaving itself.
