It did occur to me at the previous site I was on, that the rules
mentioned (IIRR) dogs and cats, but nothing else, so I could have had an
alligator if I'd wanted! On this site, we had a rules revision not too
long ago, and there was sufficient attention paid by various of us that
they now _do_ allow pets of the always-in-something type - fish,
hamsters, and the like. (I don't know if anyone has such, but then I
wouldn't, would I!) Can't remember if the rules covering outside-going
animals _are_ broadly-enough written that they'd cover other than cats
and dogs. (There's a copy of them on Ashford BC's website.)

This one had never been outdoors. It was a pure bred, my aunty bred and
showed three or four breeds over the years. I lost touch with her except
via xmas cards after she moved away from Reading after my uncle passed
away in the early 1980s.
