We should be looking at thorium, which is more plentiful than uranium
and doesn't produce plutonium.

The decision to go the route that does produce it was heavily influenced
by US Admiral Rickover.

Yes but the rails have to be replaced frequently. I gooved the
lunar mass drivers were coilguns not railguns though (we can build these
too).

Ah but, the trains will be coming at you or away from you, no aiming
required. (Assuming you use the same rails as the train.)
