A lot of the episodes were taken straight from SF short stories. In
a similar vein I recently came across a film based (quite well) on "All you
Zombies".

There are loads & loads of driverless cars around.
If I take a walk down this road, every parked car I pass is driverless.

And you're really free to walk wherever you want whenever you want to.
Probably down the middle of the road, cos the pavement's full of sodding
cars.

Not always, at least of stationary cars. I came close, early, to
acquiring wings or a stokers shovel, when an out of control car came
careering down the pavement on which I was standing, chatting to
friends. A loud bang alerted me to my danger, when the car was brought
to a halt by an inverted cast iron long nine, thoughtfully planted by
the local authority.
