That's 'cos it's on the other side of the Pennines
It's much drier (on average) here in North Riding than it was in
Saddleworth - also in the Wet Riding.

They were hand tame, to me. A few other people got their fingers

The Irish approach is similar but the proviso is that if you don't
like the weather then sit down, have a Guinness and the weather you're
looking for will be along in a while.
