What confiscation? There was no need for any.
Kuwait had always been part of Iraq
until imperialist/colonialist agressors
cut it off from where it naturally belonged.

So just reunited,

Always? Until the end of WW1 it and Iraq had been part of the Turkish
(Ottoman) Empire, Iraq as a defined country was created in 1920 along with
Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and TransJordan; Kuwait had already been in
existance since 1914.

Kuwait was already a British protectorate before 1914.
(merely a few tiny gunboats involved, not realy worth talking about)
Those Turks had also moved in only shortly before that.
And you can blame the Portugese if you go further back.
Before that it was just a part of Mesopotamia.

The Dutch (and the English for a while) did them a great service:
they unified the country and set up a central government.
Just like the British did for India.

They may not be grateful for it, but they are quite nasty
to anyone in any part who wants some regional independence,

It's time you forgave all those empires. After all...
