What will you be stuffing down your gullet tonight? Some of Dataw's

Here it will just be a decent size salad with bacon bits cheese and
awhile ago I did boil two eggs to dice up and go into the salad. I
didn't even think about grape tomatoes yesterday while at the store.
Phooey. Oh well, it will still be good.

Earlier in the day I did sweat some onions, then wilted a full container
of spinach I chopped. After that, I lightly browned a full package of
diced ham. In the morning all of that will go in a hashbrown casserole
including beaten eggs along with shredded cheese for breakfasts this week.

Nothing. We had pizza for lunch and I'm still stuffed. That extra
day's ferment did the trick.

We do individual pizzas. Mine was:

Pizza crust brushed with garlic-basil oil, shredded mozzarella,
sliced Campari tomatoes brushed with garlic-basil-oil. Baked,
then after it was out of the oven I threw on a half-handful of
minced parsley and grated on some black pepper. I ate half of
it, then sprinkled red pepper flakes on the remaining half before
I ate it.

Is that the diced ham that Wal-Mart sells, Joan, it's very handy to have around, used it for ham salad recently...

It SNOWED here yesterday, sunny but brisk today. But took a walk for some exercise...

So to keep up my strength got an Angus burger, fries, and onion rings at the corner pizza place, they do a good burger...

Some Cadbury dark chocolate for dessert...

Watching "Pillow Talk" and "The Age of Innocence" tonight...

It's the Kroger brand, but I've bought Walmart's brand and they're the same.
Both Kroger and Walmart also stock the cubed ham and it's great for white
beans or cabbage.

I was awake in the wee hours this morning and watched a movie on TCM
called 'Night Watch", 1973. Elizabeth Taylor. It was a thriller with a
twist. While her 2nd husband and her friend (they were having an
affair) tried to convince her she was crazy, she actually planned the
whole thing. Her hysterics over seeing dead bodies in the vacant house
next door convinced the police she was nutty so in the end they ignored
her calls. She killed her husband and his lover and wound up getting
away with it. What fun!

We did our Saturday night vegetarian pizza. I am patting myself on the
back because the crust was outstanding. I have to admit that I am tiring
of the vegetarian part of it. I think I am ready to start adding some
nice spicy, greasy, salty meat to it.

Chicken thigh reheated, but with baked potato and fried apples.

The apples were fried in butter, a touch of brown sugar, a a health glug
of amaretto.

The vegetarian pizza recipe came from the Heart and Stroke people and
was part of their healthy eating menu to get my heart back into shape.
For a while we were eating a lot of vegetarian meals and those with meat
had small portions of the good stuff. I have to say that it was a great
way to lose weight. We talk about resuming that stuff. I have got
pretty good at making pizzas but they lack that nice salty greasy stuff
quality that makes pizza good.

Tonight's crust turned out exceptionally well.
