(Richard) Stockton Rush III's grandfather, Richard Stockton Rush I, was mentioned as a surviving son in the obituary of his mother, Mary Wheeler (Lockwood) Rush, according to Findagrave (here: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/171786340/mary-wheeler-rush). Her wedding announcement, also above, calls her the daughter of "Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Lockwood."

According to Elon Dunbar Lockwood's 1889 "Descendants of Robert Lockwood" (here https://books.google.com/books?id=sXAbAQAAMAAJ), Mary Wheeler (Lockwood) Rush was the great-great-granddaughter of Sarah (Clark) Wheeler, thus:

Charlotte Wheeler = Charles Lorenzo Lockwood

Sarah (Clark) Wheeler, according to Donald Lines Jacobus' "Deacon George Clark(e) of Milford, Connecticut and Some of His Descendants," p. 104-5 (available with a free registration/login on FamilySearch Books), was the granddaughter of Eliphalet Johnson, thus:
