It's not an age thing per se, but some of us are a little more
selective in what we listen to, perhaps. You might call it
close-minded, I like to think of it as having some taste.

Given Dr Dre's been 'in the business' for over 30 years that's really very unlikely.

Ditto with your assessment of Rap/Hip Hop. Not my choice of music if I'm
honest but then again I'm not the right demographic. It'll be around in 50 years
time, probably outlasting a lot of prog.

I just found the Dr Dre/Snoop Dog video on Youtube. I know for sure
that I've absolutely never heard it before.

Which really isn't that surprising. I mean, *where* would I have
heard it? The internet tells me it was recorded in 1999, and released
as a single in 2000. I clearly was too old then to go anywhere it
might have been played, and was long past listening to the sort of
radio station (R1?) that might have played it

Well, except for the fact that no place that plays music here besides
clubs plays it. Go into any restaurant or market and you'll hear more
music from the 60s to the 80s.
Fer cryin out loud, Jethro Tull just did a concert here to a big crowd,
and friends who went say he could barely sing anymore. Dr Dre isn't
touring for the foreseeable future.
