Wise words and sadly they seem to be completely forgotten or ignored by
far too many people. But we can only hope that Trump will win this
november, and maybe, just maybe, he can point the compass needle towards
freedom again.

Don't do it if there's no need for it Cindy, it could kill you. I know and
have heard of many who died after the shot.

My wives family were pestering me to take the shot, and of course I
refused, but it was still annoying. Then someone they knew died because of
it, and fortunately for me, they never bothered me again.

Yes, the guy that admires dictators will lead us to freedom! The guy
that wants to put the Constitution on hold will lead us to freedom!

You have a great sense of humor.

That's not what I said. There are doctors, did you know that? ;) As for
the planet at large, as I said, despite _particles_ (scary, I know!) we've
never been healthier and wealthier.

Oh no... peak oil! Have I heard that before? Let me tell you another
little secret and it is called "the market" and "technological
development". Oil will not peak over night, and as oil prices increase,
alternatives will be develop. It is difficult for me to put into words how
little I care about peak oil and how much I'm not worried about the grand
children.

What does worry me though is socialism, that will lead to starvation and
the killing of 100 of millions and that is why socialism and eco-fascism
must be stopped!

If not, we'll be back to medieval times in no time. That... worries me. =(

Ok.

You seem to confuse progressives with socialists. The opposite, of
course, are the regressive right wingers who want to take us back to
the Nineteenth Century.

For fuck's sake. Billions of doses have been administered and
relatively few people have died.

I've already had something like four doses. If I didn't die from the
first one, I'm not likely to die from the fifth one.

I think there's a bit more wrong with this "Snag" than being anti-vax.
I think he lives in fear of "them".

It's strange. These anti-vaxxers are not at all worried about the
large number of people who died from covid, but get completely
hysterical from the extremely small number of people who died from
vaccinations.

Anecdotally..... there was a big stink in the region to the west of me.
There is a well known and very conservative member of Parliament and he
was in deep shit for having attended a large gathering at a time when
crowds were being limited, and no one was wearing masks. The region is
heavily populated with Dutch immigrants, well known for their strict
religion and conservative views. People were furious that there were
ignoring all the Covid protocols that we had been told would keep us
safe. The regional health unit was tracing Covid infections by sex, age
and location. Curiously, the infection rates in that community were a
fraction of those of the other municipalities in the Region.

Yeah right. There is someone in my extended family who was rabidly
antivax. He claimed that it was too dangerous. Recently he has run into
serious dental problems and was supposed to be getting all his teeth
removed. Apparently the sudden deterioration of his teeth was the result
of him getting the vaccine. That branch of the clan (sister in laws
step children) are all pathological liars.

A couple years ago there were parents refusing to get their kids
vaccinated because of bullshit claims about them causing autism. Now we
are seeing an increase in measles, a childhood disease that had been all
but eliminated here for decades.

I still think back to my first years in school and how there were a
number of students in the senior grades who had to wear steel braces
because of paralysis caused by polio. We got polio vaccine in Gr. 1 and
nobody in my cohort got polio. We were also free of smallpox and TB..
thanks to vaccine.

I got the Covid19 vaccine as soon as I could and got all the boosters.
I knew that it was not 100% effective but that it would reduce the
severity. I went four years Covid but finally got it last month. I was
not really really ill, but I was out of commission for two weeks.

Can't they just be stupid?

That's not just happening "here", but in many countries. The anti-vax
madness has spread to vaccinations for measles, whooping cough etc.

It really is what you said. Doctors don't fix everything, some people
die. Many cases can be prevented with a little effort.

I've noticed, you only care about yourself. Why worry about the future,
you won't be here to see the problems.

With your attitude, people will be back to medieval times. Science,
ingenuity, engineering can prevent it but you choose not to participate.

It's amazing how many antivaxers know people who died from the vaccine.
The only person I know who has claimed to suffer (dental) problems from
it is one of my Sil's stepchildren, and all three of them are pathogical
liars.

Just about everyone I know has been vaccinated but still caught it.
Luckily, most had all had mild case. It was not like the early days of
the pandemic when people were dropping like flies. Then there are those
who died of Covid.... the Wuhan flu, not the vaccine.

I have had 6. I managed to avoid Covid until last month, but it was
relatively mild.

I don't know about the vaccine status of the husband of one of my wife's
school mates. He came down with Covid a couple months ago and died it it.

It's rather silly to brag about being unvaccinated. What does the Covid
lockdown have to do with having electricity cut off vs. using a wood
burning stove or fireplace? Nothing at all.

I am chuckling thinking about Rodney Dangerfield line about telling his
