I might cook farro for lunch.

I have a bag of allegedly fire roasted vegetables in the freezer.

You do not know how many women I know. ;) I used to live in the promised
land of militant feminism sweden, and I leave you with this from the
socialist rag the guardian:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/aug/25/nordic-countries-happy-reputation-masks-sadness-of-young-says-report

And a out of context quote:

"In Nordic countries, they found, 12.3% of the population are struggling
or suffering. That rose to 13.5% of the 18 to 23 year age group. Among
Swedish young women, it is 19.5% – nearly one in five – compared with
13.8% of Swedish young men. The only age group less happy than the young
were the oldest. Among the over-80s, 16% were struggling or suffering,
with physical health problems and loneliness thought to be the biggest
factors".

(piggybacking and reposting a bunch of relevant stuff which 'D' snipped:

"When I went to get my first Covid shot at the hospital annex, the
vaccine was new so people were supposed to wait about 20 minutes after
the vaccine before leaving. In case there were any negative reactions.
None that I witnessed. One woman in the waiting area was talking on her
cell phone. She had it on speaker (why do people do that?!) Her
boyfriend/SO/husband was bitching loudly. "Why do you have to wait
there for 20 minutes? Just leave! I need cigarettes, dammit! And
where's my beer? Bring me some beer and cigarettes!".

Apparently 'D' thinks shouting at his wife and demanding she wait on him
hand and foot is her obligation and her cooking and cleaning is a "sign
of love". Welcome to 1900. Sorry, I don't buy it.

Bullshit, D. We simply are smarter than you are and don't tolerate fools.

It's an insignifcant sample but it is an example of neanderthal
thinking. 'D' seems to be trying to take over trolling this group.

Trifles. If you want to own a gun, you should move to a less
civilized country.

Out of curiosity, why can't you keep your property? Unwilling
to pay the price of civilization?

I thought you lacked substantive freedoms, not the freedom to make
a self-destructive nuisance of yourself. (Considering your behavior
here, I don't know what that should surprise me.)

Why? There are a lot of law abiding gun owners. The problem with guns
is generally limited to criminals. I am law abiding gun owners. I have
a permit. I keep my guns locked up safely and use them only for target
shooting. Handguns are strictly regulated here and are legally owned and
acquired handguns are almost never involved in crimes. Yet there is a
still a problem with handgun homicides because there is an element of
our society who buy illegal guns, carry them around and use them to
shoot people. I see no value in restricting my right to use guns for
hunting and target shooting because criminals are ignoring the law.

Hahaha, not a chance beautiful. That's what the nazi said to the
complaining jew as well. ;) Please you can do better than that!

Taxes exist. Taxes are the road to slavery. If you call slavery
civilization, I don't think we have enough conceptual shared ground to
talk. ;)

Wrong. Those are essential freedoms. I do know you seem to define freedom
as living under a socialist state, but that's a contradiction, which
again, makes it very difficult to teach you.

I think the explanation is paranoia. It's a very complicated world for
people who aren't very bright so they become paranoid. There are so
many dangers they don't understand. "Quick, buy another gun!"

Josh didn't have any. Don and I were watching his dog, Prince when he
was at work. Then one day he didn't pickup hime so we called and he
said he was really sick and might go to the hospital and asked us to
keep him. Josh never made it home. he was about 34-35, no
preconditions, healthy and a cycler plus ran marathons locally. He
died just as vaccines came out, too late for him.
