Amazon sells air fryer parchment paper liners if you want something
that would fit it exactly.

My grocery store sells those precut sheets, a bit expensive. But I'm
sure you'd be able to find them there in cookware stores or even online,
once again Amazon.

compared to cooking bacon i'd rather just buy the packages
of pre-cooked crumbled bacon. it's there any time we want bacon
and it cooks to desired crispness in 15-30 seconds. the only
mess is the cup we cook it in and there's no waste grease at all
to discard (what little is the cup washes up).

no parchment paper, no foil, no trays, etc. just bacon.
one of the few things that modern times actually improved as far
as i'm concerned.

A few years ago my sister in law gave me a couple packages of precut
parchment paper. She had picked it up at the dollar store. It was a
pretty good deal, and even better because it was free to me.

I read that burning human corpses smell the same.

Sure it is, if you have an automatic dishwasher. Just pop the fry
basket along with the drip basket into the dishwasher. All the
grease is contained in those two areas. But a splatter shield will
contain most of the grease when skillet frying, most.

I've had several splatter shields and I've yet to find one that works.

Don't quote me, but I think they come in a flat box like one if you
were shipping a picture frame.

https://www.amazon.com/Unbleached-Parchment-Supplies-Non-Stick-Non-Toxic/dp/B0CD2FM2WR/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?

https://www.amazon.com/Parchment-Paper-SMARTAKE-200-Pcs/dp/B07H79KX8W/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?

Several others there to choose from with slightly different sizes.
They all appear to be in flat boxes.

There are many cookware/bakeware stores here, but I was supplying
a source that's pretty much available to all North Americans.

Also, I tried the hot water trick for parchment paper to see if it
would make it more manageable and it did. Most all the water just
skidded off and the paper only needed minimal wiping with a dishtowel
to dry it.

I didn't say there wasn't a mess in the drawer part, I took the bottom
out and put the whole thing in the dishwasher! I didn't have the
stove to clean, as I would if I had cooked it in the cast iron
skillet.

I've been tempted but never took the big step to buy it. I just looked
at BJs and 10 ounces is $13, probably not bad since much of the fat is
gone.

Mine works - when I remember to use it.

Indeed. There is that design flaw.

Buy your parchment in flat sheets. Gordon Food Service carries "Pan
Liners - Quilon Coated Baking Sheets" - 50 count - 16-3/8" x 24-3/8".
But they're folded in half in the package. Not a problem here, as we
cut them in half anyway. Just bought some at the beginning of March and
they were $6.99 at the time. Might be more expensive than the rolls
from the grocery store, but flat wins.

Looks like you might have a local Gordon Food Service as there are 2
distribution centers in Florida.
