Read your manual before giving that kind of advice.

https://www.quora.com/Is-it-bad-to-put-greasy-dishes-in-the-dishwasher

Yes for two reasons. 1. The grease will cause your pipes to clog. 2. It will make any other item that you wash with the same water greasy therefore impossible to clean.

But it's ok if you 1. Leave any greasy dishes to wash last. 2. Beforr draining the greasy water, bring some clean water to a boil and turn it off. Then add a squirt of Dawn dish soap and as the last bit of dirty sink water is going down the drain pour the hot water and Dawn combo straight down the drain. This makes a huge difference in keeping your pipes from getting clogged.

That much IS true.

Hand turned wooden ones work fine if you can find some pretty burl.

What do you think dishwasher are for? Just to look pretty in
the kitchen??

It probably would if you're stupid enough not to wipe the grease out
of the drip basket and just pour it down the drain.

Where did I say to put greasy dishes into the dishwasher?? Nowhere.
You're welcome.

2. It will make any other item that you wash with the same water
greasy therefore impossible to clean.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say lurcretia has enough smarts
about her to know to wipe out greasy pots and pans before washing.
>
> But it's ok if you 1. Leave any greasy dishes to wash last.
2. Before draining the greasy water, bring some clean water to
a boil and turn it off. Then add a squirt of Dawn dish soap and
as the last bit of dirty sink water is going down the drain pour
the hot water and Dawn combo straight down the drain. This makes
a huge difference in keeping your pipes from getting clogged.

Good grief, are you posting from a third world country??

I've lived in this house just shy of 36 years and not once,
not one single time, never, nada, zip, zilch, have I ever
had a clogged pipe. I'll let you in on a little secret,
greasy pots, pans, and dishes are wiped of their grease
b.e.f.o.r.e. washing. Hold onto your potholders! I don't
have an automatic dishwasher unless you call my hands an
automatic dishwasher.

(You can thank me later for correcting your run off the page
responses.)
