Shingles is excruciating.

My daughter was in agony until a correct diagnosis and then
promptly relieved with antivirals. As an aside, those
therapies came out of AIDS virus research.

Right. As am I, and you ought to be as well. It's more
horrible than you might at first imagine.

An untreated course of shingles resolves in 5~6 weeks. Not
day. Weeks.
