Except I have the prior annual blood tests results, the no drugs ones and the
multiple MRI at different times showing the damage, that would be evidence
rather than feeling a bit wooly.

"Worldwide, around 65% of adults are affected by lactose malabsorption."

So, au contraire, it is *very* common - which makes it even more
surprising that it is used as a 'filler' in so many tablets - including
ones used to treat 'digestive issues' such as lactose intolerance - yes
seriously!

Oh, sure, I probably need less sleep than I did, but the impact of not
getting the sleep I need is far greater than it was 20 years ago.

I can't imagine pulling an 'all nighter' when it was something I often
did in my 20s and 30s when under pressure to deliver.

Need, or get? I'd certainly want more.

Not actually true, from a physiological perspective. Lots of older
people do sleep less, but there are a number of reasons that can
contribute to this, like a less active lifestyle making them less
tired, but also lots of health issues that can make sleeping longer
more difficult.

It's hard to tell. I rarely sleep more than 2 or 3 hours at a time, but
I do it several times a day.

Nap. harumph. That word has some derogative connotations, as in something
babies do. I prefer "siesta," which in Hispanic countries around the
world, is a very common and acceptable behavior for adults.

Ah, "employer". Gainful employment does tend to interfere with siesta
relaxation.

There was one time after the last day before Xmas lunchtime snifter that
the chair of the Environmental Health committee came in to my office to
find me asleep with my feet on my desk.

"Had a drink have you?"

"Err, yes."

"Happy Christmas to you and your team."

Exited quickly.

I use that term because that's what my cheap fitness band with sleep
monitoring uses. Quite informative looking at one's sleep and 'napping'
history.

"Old rocking chair's got me" less since I don't have room for one in the
greenhouse, but the one in the back room with patio doors is seductive
on a warm afternoon.
